It was so wonderful to talk with Micheline for about 1/2 hour on Saturday. She often is not that chatty on the phone but this time she had plenty to say. She explained about all that she is learning at school and told a story about an airplane crash (I later found out that the story was not just one that she made up, it actually happened and very much the way she explained it) She talked about how much she hates it that the lawyer is taking so long. She thinks he should just rip up all the papers and start over again, maybe then he could get them right and in a decent amount of time. She is so sick of waiting on him when he just sits there and doesn't do anything! Every few sentences she interrupted herself by saying "mommy, I love you! I love you! I love you!" or "I'm crazy for you!" or "my heart is so in love with you"... She also informed me that now she speaks English, French, and Kreyol, and proceeded to give me an illustration of her English, "good morning teacher" "How are you?" I am fine" I love you Sweetheart"...

Micheline, the good news is that, I am also crazy for you and you are so much in my heart. You are a sunshine in my life and I long for us to be able to be together again. Some days I think I will loose my mind cuz I miss you so badly. I love you so much! 

Yes, it has been a few forevers since I have written anything. Life goes on and continues to stay busy which I think is a good thing for the time being. For the most part this has been a wonderful summer though not without a few trials here and there.

I talked to Micheline the other day, she constantly amazes me with her intelligence and thought processes! There was a guy that lives not to far from where she is at that got into trouble with the law so the police came out to his house and carried him off. Micheline very emphatically informed me that when she gets married, her husband is going to build a tall concrete wall with a gate that has a lock on it.She is not going to take the chance of the authorities just breaking in and carrying her man away! She also informed me that of course she plans to get married because she is a girl and that is a good thing for a girl to do eventually. After 2 days at school this year her new teacher came to Delimene and told her that Micheline is extremely smart and will lead the whole school. She is very quick and eager to learn anything they try to teach. (Micheline told me a while ago that she plans to graduate the top of her class this year so I will be proud of her at the graduation. She said she thinks she can if she studies hard) I miss her like crazy!

 

I would give it to Future Of The Children. It is a childrens home that is being started in Haiti. Their plan is to take very young children that have been abandoned by their parents or who's parents cannot care for them and to raise them in a family type atmosphere, educate them, teach them a trade, give them a good solid scriptural foundation,  and enable them to go back and make a difference in their own communities. Make a difference in the future generations of Haiti.
